To recognize our diverse team of employees and their value to our organization, we will be celebrating a CorVel Anniversary each month. This month, we are recognizing Tracy Cooper, Telephonic Case Manager. Tracy has been with CorVel for 21 years, beginning on February 1st, 1999, as a field case manager. Her role evolved into doing field case management and telephonic case management at the same time, then transitioning to full-time telephonic case management when she relocated to Southeast Iowa.

When asked what she likes most about working at CorVel, she shared, “I like the fact that I can network with any CorVel case manager across the country to ask them who they might recommend as a treating provider in any certain area. I know I can rely on their opinions and experience to never steer me wrong. This has been so valuable to me when I have performed my telephonic case management duties in several different states.”

Throughout her time at CorVel, she has been involved in employee development by training newly hired case managers. Explaining one of her favorite projects, Tracy explained, “I served as an advocacy trainer for quite a while for one of our previous computer programs, even as I was performing my telephonic case management duties. It was nice to get to know my new co-workers face-to-face, since that does not happen very often when working from my home office.”

When asked about a fun fact, she shared, “My maiden name is “Pickle” and my favorite color is lime green! Very fitting don’t you think?”

Thank you, Tracy, for your hard work and dedication to CorVel – we appreciate you and value your contributions!
