In the continued recognition of our diverse team and their value to our organization, this month we are recognizing Charlie Camareno, Lien Resolution and Medical Provider Network (MPN) Manager, and her 3-year CorVel anniversary. Since joining CorVel in May 2017, Charlie has made a significant impact to the company, playing a large role in the growth of the lien resolution department and the success of our California MPN department.
Charlie started as a Lien Resolution Specialist, a position for a department that did not exist prior to her joining CorVel. As the department started growing, Charlie soon after became the Lien Resolution Supervisor. In January 2019, Charlie’s role evolved to managing both the lien resolution department and the California MPN department.
“What I like most about working at CorVel is that the company embraces and encourages innovation. You can bring your ideas to the company, and they will give you an environment to grow those ideas and implement systems. The company really is comprised of its employees’ contributions and it shows.”
Thus far, Charlie’s proudest moment at CorVel was seeing her Lien Resolution team receive the company’s ACE IT President’s Award, presented by Michael Combs earlier this year. Charlie explains, “[My lien team] works so hard to provide an excellent service and [they] pour so much of their pride and passion into what they do…I cannot wait to see what is next for each of my teams!”
Outside the office, a fun fact about Charlie is she has been plant-based for 2 ½ years. She shares, “Every weekend I make it a goal to find a new vegan food spot and try it out with friends. I’m constantly on Pinterest looking for new recipes and ideas to make fun vegan food at home!”
