Employee Spotlight: Brian Cronk

Today, we are thrilled to shine the spotlight on Brian Cronk, Vice President of National IME Services, who embodies our core ACE-IT values of Accountability, Commitment, Excellence, Integrity, and Teamwork.

Brian’s journey with CorVel began in the fall of 2001 when he joined us as a temporary employee. Starting with answering phones and sorting mail, Brian’s meticulous attention to detail quickly caught the attention of our team, leading to his permanent role as a Bill Processing Analyst. Brian’s ambition and drive were evident from the start, as he recalls the days of racing fellow analysts to process bills accurately.

Over the years, Brian’s career at CorVel has seen remarkable growth and evolution. From his early days as a Bill Processing Analyst to his current role as Vice President overseeing our IME program, Brian’s journey is a testament to his dedication and commitment to personal and professional development. His diverse experience in product management, credentialing, NDB maintenance, and PPO analytics reflects his continuous pursuit of excellence and innovation.

Brian’s numerous accomplishments are complemented by his appreciation for the supportive work culture at CorVel. He attributes his success to the organization’s culture of rewarding self-starters and offering learning and career growth opportunities. For Brian, the most rewarding aspect of working at CorVel is the people he has met along the way, many of whom he still collaborates closely with today.

“I was able to work hard, work smart, push innovation, and move up in the company.  CorVel rewards those who are self-starters, proactive, and constant learners.  But the thing I love most is the people I have met here, many very early, and I still work closely with them to this day,” shares Brian.

One of Brian’s proudest moments at CorVel occurred early in his career when he was promoted to Bill Review Manager. Despite initial nerves and challenges, Brian’s leadership and trust in his team facilitated the successful completion of the complex tasks that arose, providing him with valuable opportunities to practice and enhance his managerial skills and bill review expertise.

Outside of work, Brian’s adventurous spirit shines through as he trains for a 100-mile ultra-marathon in the Arizona desert, demonstrating his resilience and determination beyond the workplace.
