At Business Insurance’s annual Innovation Awards, CorVel received an award for our Virtual Care Services. The awards program, now in its 11th year, recognizes leadership, inventiveness, and ingenuity in products and services designed for risk management professionals.

As a leader in the industry, we were the first to offer Advocacy 24/7 services as an integral part of patient intake. Today, we offer a full suite of virtual care services to provide timely, accurate care intervention. An expansion of our telehealth platform, our virtual clinic has been recognized for integrating all steps of care for the injured worker, from initial Advocacy 24/7 to return to work.

In acceptance of this award, we have put together a video to show the impact of virtual care on our intake process. You can view the video here to see how CorVel’s focus on immediate intervention has redefined intake in workers’ compensation.

David Lupinsky, CorVel’s Vice President of Medical Review Services, says, “On behalf of CorVel and the telehealth department, we wanted to extend our gratitude for this prestigious award. We are both humbled and honored to be a part of such a distinguished group. As COVID-19 has pushed virtual care to the forefront, we hope that it will be remembered as the silver lining in this difficult time, as the benefits of telehealth go far beyond just mitigating the disease.”

In 2020, Business Insurance received about 30% more nominations than past years, as insurers, brokers, technology firms, and others introduced numerous products and services designed to help risk managers during the COVID-19 pandemic.
