Alaska Workers’ Compensation Fee Schedule Update 01/01/2025

Alaska made several updates including procedure coding, reimbursement rates for durable medical equipment, prosthetics, orthotics and supplies.

Alaska Regulatory Updates 2/17/2025

HB 44 – An Act Relating to Workers’ Compensation Death Benefits; and Providing For an Effective Date.

Summary For 01/31/2025

This measure clarifies that for death benefits if the deceased has no spouse, children, or dependent relatives (parents, grandchildren, or siblings), the following lump sums are paid:

  • $120,000 to the only surviving parent.
  • $120,000 split equally among multiple surviving parents.
  • $120,000 to the deceased’s estate if no parents are alive.

This measure takes effect on January 1, 2026.
