Absence Management is a tool within CorVel's CareMC managed care website. CareMC provides a managed care portal in which employers, patients, payors and providers can work together to optimize disability claims' outcomes.
CareMC includes an "incident reporting" module into which employers can enter the details of employee absences and causal factors. CareMC includes an artificial intelligence engine which permits the processing of incoming incident reports to be screened and sorted using guidelines from the employer, standard medical practices and state or federal guidelines. The reporting process can be tailored to reflect the unique employer or industry needs involved.
Information gathered in CareMC is immediately available to benefits management personnel, insurers, patients and treating physicians.
